Let me start by saying how incredibly excited I am!
I bought my plane ticket last week, and I'm flying out on September 3rd. Additionally, I may or may not be planning a little trip to Germany after ;)

There's still about 4 and a half months left, but I have a feeling that the time will fly by. Between now and then I have more plane tickets to buy, trips to plan, research on the best food places in London to do... it's safe to say that I'll be pretty busy and London will be here before I know it.

One thing that has only added to my excitement has been the prep course that I got to take this semester. Aside from meeting my future London buddies, we got to discuss things like our itinerary to Paris and what we'll need to pack for 4 months in London (I am going to put off thinking about that for as long as possible)  and where the best gelato stands are and a million other things that are making this all feel so real! I can already tell that this is going to be such an amazing experience, and I will have a lot of awesome people to share it with.

Like I've mentioned before, though, the point of this study abroad isn't just to party it up with the Queen's Guard (impossible anyway) and eat tons of really good gelato. I'm also incredibly excited to be living in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the word and have the opportunity to meet so many unique and amazing people. Additionally, it's going to be very interesting to learn about other countries' customs and cultures. I can't wait to expand my own knowledge and hopefully bring that all back home to the good ol' US of A.

It's a little bit weird to think that all of my friends and family back home are going to be growing and changing and I won't be around to be a part of it, but I know that this will be such a fantastic experience for me.

t-minus 138 days. London, here I come.
